KTM Motohall Mattighofen
This innovative exhibition, roughly 40 kilometers outside of Salzburg, on around 10 000 m² is dedicated to the history and milestones of the Austrian motorcycle make KTM.
The exhibition in Mattighofen showcases information about the brand, technology, and history of the Austrian company KTM across three levels. Interactive displays, virtual tours, original bikes, and programs for children make the visit entertaining. The architecture of the Motohall itself is a statement: the oval shape of the building resembles a racetrack, while the perforated design in the facade evokes tire tracks from motocross tires.
Founded in 1934 in Mattighofen as a metalworking shop, the company began mass production of motorcycles 20 years later and is now Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer.
The family-friendly excursion destination can be reached by car in about 40 minutes and by public transport in about an hour from Salzburg. The exhibition is accessible, and there is a shop and a restaurant complementing the offerings.
The opening hours can be found on the official website.
