Trumer Privatbrauerei
In Obertrum am See, 20 km north of the town of Salzburg, the Trumer private brewery demonstrates how contemporary and sustainable beer brewing works. The family business is now in its eighth generation and is known for beer specialities rich in character, which are now brewed using 100% renewable energy.
Since 1601, beer has been brewed in Obertrum, and since 1775, the independent private brewery has been run by the Sigl family. The flagship of the community-benefit accounting brewery, which consistently brews according to its own values and carries the quality seal for "Slow Brewing," is the internationally awarded Trumer Pils. In the brewing process, only natural hops from selected hop farmers are used, fermented in open fermentation tanks, and slowly matured according to the philosophy of "Slow Brewing."
In the Trumer world, interested individuals can experience the Trumer philosophy up close. The opportunities are diverse:
• Brewery tours with a certified beer sommelier
• guided beer tastings
• Home brewing in the "Kiesbye Beer Culture House"
• Celebrations in the old beer cellar
• freshly tapped Trumer Pils directly from the beer fountain
