Easter Festival Salzburg 2027 - Antigone - Dance
Since 2026, the Salzburg Easter Festival and the Berlin Philharmonic have once again merged into the unity they were founded as by Herbert von Karajan in 1967. The Salzburg Easter Festival celebrates this year the 60th anniversary of this very special festival.
»Antigone« is a radical reinterpretation of Sophocles’ tragedy that combines the physical poetry of dance theater with spoken word and the original text. The production re-explores the ideas of the play through a profoundly human, compelling performance that addresses the unresolved dilemmas of our time.
